Children's Church
On the first Sunday of each month after children's time in the service, children are invited to discuss and learn about God until the end of the church service.
Adult Religion and Philosophy Class
Meets Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the basement dining room. The class reads and discusses books by many authors on diverse subjects, including metaphysics, various faiths and philosophies. Recent books include "A new Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart Ehrman, and "Man was not born to Cry" by Joel Goldsmith. Donuts, coffee, tea, and humor provided
Sunday Bible Study
Meets Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Worship room. Expand your knowledge by reading the bible and discussing meaning with others.
Choir
Meets Wednesday nights at 7:30 throughout the school year in the worship room to practice for singing in the Sunday service.
Weeknight Bible Study
Bible Study meets in a private home on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy singing, followed by discussion of scripture readings to be used the following Sunday.
Breakfast group
Breakfast group meets on Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. at Tom's Restaurant at SE 39th and Division. For spiritual and non-spiritual discussions.
Women's Groups
The Sunnyside United Methodist Women General Unit meeting meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at noon in the church parlor. Lunch is followed by a short business meeting and program. The Wray group, one of the circles of the General group, meets the first Thursday of each month at noon in the home of one of the members.

Book Group
Meets every other month at the parsonage. We discuss popular fiction novels.
2nd Sunday Potluck
Held after church service, about noon, the 2nd Sunday of each month. All are invited whether or not you brought food. Various programs and entertainment presented during the meal.
Prayer Chain
Often when a person, issue, or group needs special prayer, we spread the news by phone calls and e-mail so that many people can pray.
